Pants with split side

The tracksuit pants with split sides are of good quality, but not suitable for anyone who must be dressed lying on a bed. During dressing the split side is a disadvantage. If I am wrong about this and there is an effective way to put them on to a person easily while they are lying on a bed I would welcome advice.
